Sandbach Clean Team and how we work:

• Works with all the people in the town of Sandbach and all the adjacent parishes to enhance the awareness of their responsibility for the environment.
• Organises regular major litter picks across the area.
• Supports those people who want to work in their local area to clean up litter and otherwise improve its cleanliness and appearance. It provides all the support necessary for Local Clean Teams to be set up.

The support provided to Local Clean Teams by Sandbach Clean Team will include:

• Advice and guidance on establishing and running a Clean Team.
• Health and Safety Guidelines.
• Insurance cover (through Sandbach Partnership).
• Providing (through CBC Streetscape and other sources) equipment (litter pickers, hi-visibility vests, gloves, plastic bags etc.).
• Helping with access to funding and sponsorship.
• Publicity (press contacts, posters and handbills etc.).
• Assistance with litter picks (especially initially).
• On-going support as the Local Clean Teams develop.
