Adopt an Area

The AaA Campaign

Adopt an Area Campaign

Identify an area you want to see maintained litter free.

  • Decide to take responsibility for the cleanliness of this area. Typical areas could be just the immediate area outside you own house, or the road where you live, a recreation ground or an area of grass or woodland. It does not matter how small the area is.
  • Commit yourself to a regular amount of time, however small, to work on collecting rubbish and litter from that area.
  • Inform Sandbach Clean Team of the area(s) that you have selected. This would help in ensuring that Local Clean Teams can work together if this is what is wanted.
  • Obtain the appropriate equipment by joining the Sandbach Clean Team (if you are not already a member). The equipment consists of litter pickers, gloves, hi-visibility vest, gloves and an endless supply of plastic bags. Membership is free and all the equipment is supplied. You simply have to agree to follow the Health and Safety guidelines provided
  • Start litter picking!
